Human Resources Coordinator

SUMMARY

The Human Resources Coordinator is an entry level position reporting-up to the Senior Director of Human Resources with a direct report to the Senior Human Resource Generalist. Duties include assisting in the coordination and implementation of numerous HR initiatives and programs.

THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE​

  • Maintain weekly communications with hiring managers and candidates from scheduling interviews and preparing offer letters
  • Develop and maintain current social media recruiting options
  • Collect and maintain a database of all resumes/applications
  • Manage recruiter agreements
  • Maintain company job descriptions and roles/responsibilities documents
  • Onboarding
  • Process E-Verify checks
  • Maintaining and updating employee files
  • Coordinate career fairs and intern program
  • Develop and maintain relationships with college and university placement offices
  • Coordinate company standard training sessions and seminars
  • Document, interpret, and apply company policies and procedures
  • Assist with managing our Drug Free Workplace and MVR program
  • Process Internal and External HR communications
  • Prepare reports, surveys and audits as requested by staff
  • Answer employees’ questions and provide requested information
  • Assist with department filing and mailings as needed
  • Take on special projects as requested

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Passion for the core values, ethics, and integrity of The Albert M. Higley Co.
    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, business, or related area
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • HRIS experience, Ceridian Dayforce a plus
    • Knowledge of broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
    • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
    • Highly organized, self-motivated and detail oriented
    • Accustomed to working in a team environment on challenging projects with tight deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills including conflict resolution, training, teaching, and presenting
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Available for occasional travel
