BLUE PARROTS MURAL

Earlier this fall, employees at The Albert M. Higley Co. participated in a month-long mural painting project which we donated to UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. The Community Service Committee purchased six pre-drawn canvases from The Foundation for Hospital Art - a publicly-funded nonprofit organization dedicated to giving comfort and love to hospital patients by providing artwork at no cost to hospitals.…

SUNSHINE ON THE FARM

(August 7, 2013): Apparently it was meant to be – yesterday’s rains stopped just in time, and the clouds traveled elsewhere so that our volunteer farm crew could work at Trinity Community Farm. We helped rescue dozens of waterlogged tomato plants. They were trimmed of dead leaves and stems so the healthy parts of the plants could dry out and produce lots more tomatoes.…
