KENYON COLLEGE – PEIRCE HALL
GAMBIER, OHIO
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Albert M. Higley Co. served as Construction Manager at Risk for Kenyon College’s Peirce Hall project. Included was the demolition of a connected 1964 era wing, construction of a new 35,000 SF addition, and renovation of the existing 80-year old Peirce Hall. The new combined building serves as the college’s central dining hall, sized to handle 1,800 students.
The project created several larger dining rooms on the main and ground level, several smaller dining rooms for meetings, a pub, a student lounge, an expanded servery, preparation and storage areas that are more accessible, and a reconfigured service entry that will allow deliveries to be made from the rear.
